Ladies and Gents, I present to you the first official Character Skin Mod for Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. One of the upcoming appeals of the future beta release will be the easily customizable/hackable features of our fangame. We'll be implementing customizable sound effects, sprites and even levels! This is the first version of the project to publicly be called "Mushroom Kingdom Fusion"! There are a massive amount of new features added since v0.1 Beta RC2 almost three months before, so here's the Readers' Digest Condensed version: *Four playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Sonic, and Tails, each with their own unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. *Thirteen new levels, including Birabuto Bash and Corpse of the Behemoth! *New powerup: Megaman Suit, the Coalition has the power of the Megaman world at their disposal! *The MK Coalition HQ: Switch out your characters and save your progress in this special map building. v0.2 RC1 Game EXE: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ud5z1g MP3 Pack (full - 64MB): http://www.sendspace.com/file/6i1wev Play this game using your USB gamepad with Joystick 2 Mouse 3.20: http://atzitznet.dyndns.org/Joy2Mouse... ------------------------- RULES FOR MAKING A MKF SKIN MOD: -------------------------------- 1. Keep to the assigned canvas size of the original character. For example, do not make a Mario skin mod using a Cyberdemon-sized sprite sheet. It will not work. 2. You may base your character on Mario, Luigi, Sonic and Tails (the current playable roster). Use your best discretion for choosing a character to mod into (e.g. Cheese for replacing Tails for flight), Shadow replacing Sonic, etc. Waluigi replacing Luigi. 3. The Folder numbers in the "external/players" folder are as follows: 1 = Mario 2 = Luigi 3 = Sonic 4 = Tails 4. You can post your mods in our forum as either a spritesheet as found in the external/players folder, a video showing your skin mod in action, or both. If you can put your skin mod online for others to download, it will be a great idea as well. 5. Be sure to make the very bottom left pixel of your sprites the same colour as the rest of the background or else there will be transparency issues. -------------------- This is what you'd do if you wanted to base your original character on Mario, and therefore have all his same abilities and gameplay mechanics. Mario is in the "external/players" folder. Under Folder entitled "1". Mario is split into multiple folders. With the following: A = Super Mario B = Fire Mario C = Hammer Mario D = Racoon Mario E = Mini Mario F = Spartan Mario G = Tanooki Mario H = Mega Man Mario Y = Coin, Jump, Skid sounds (N/A) Z = Mario's Power Up Skins (Optional) Don't attempt to alter the size of these or there'll be glitches and DON'T OVERWRITE THE ORIGINAL BMPS or you won't get Mario back. When using a Skin Mod, always make a backup of the original player sprites.
