Minnesota hail storm, afterwards part 3

Watch Minnesota Hail Storm, afterwards part 3 video clip

Between 6:00 and 6:30 pm CST a hail storm ripped through part of the Twin Cities area. The total storm time was about 10 minutes. We and some friends were walking through an art fair while clouds gathered overhead. Rain started falling in a drizzle, but about a minute later it poured. Another minute and hail about the size of skittles to nickels pounded unrelentingly. We ran for cover (Olive with her broekn toe but as of right now she's doing okay) as hail and rain stung our faces and bodies. We took shelter with a dozen other art fair participants in an open garage. The noise was incredible and soon the ground was coated white. The hail continued, letting up a little and the coming down hard again. (My friends and I were worried that we would have to spend the night in the garage.) We decided to go into a grocery store where it was warmer, for most of us were drenched. As we walked out of the garage, the hail stopped and the clouds separated. Some places had at least an inch to three inches of hail coating the ground. There was flash flooding and cars covered in bits of leaves and grass splashed through puddles. It was pretty exciting and no one was hurt badly as far as we know. Hopefully the artists' sculptures and such are not damaged. Will upload the rest of videos and then edit them using Youtube editor, since Windows Movie maker doesn't support quicktime files.
