Chapter 13 THE GUYS HEAD OVER TO KATE'S HOUSE TO SPEND THEIR LAST DAY WITH THE GIRLS BEFORE THEY START SCHOOL by the way they will be in these grades... Erin-12th Alyssa, Kate, Jess-11th The doorbell rings. It's 10:30 AM. Kate (waking up): oh my gosh! who is it? Kate's mom answers the door. Mom: hi boys! the girls are still asleep, but you can come in. it's time for them to wake up anyways. i'll go get them. Joe: Mrs. E, i can go get them you look like you were in the middle of something. Mom: alright. but Joe, Kate's not a morning person. i'm just warning you. Joe: thanks Mrs. E. Nick, Kevin are you ready to play a little prank on Kate and Alyssa? Nick and Kevin: yeah! Joe: alright, follow my lead. They walk in Kate's room where the girls are sleeping peacefully. Joe goes out in the hall and turns on the fire alarm. Joe (screams): FIRE! FIRE! KATE, ALYSSA! EVERYONE OUT OF THE HOUSE! Kate: WHAT? Joe! omg! Alyssa (screams): ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! god help me! Kate and Alyssa run out of the house screaming. Joe (runs after them): i didn't want you to actually run out of the house! Alyssa (still screaming): ahhhhhhhh!!!!! Kate: but it's on fire! Kevin: no it's not. we just pulled a prank on you! Joe: by the way babe i love your pajamas! spongebob is way cool! Kate: omg! i hate you guys! Nick: no you don't! Kate: this is so humiliating! all the neighbors are staring and laughing! Joe: well i tried to stop...wait no i didn't, but it was just a joke. Kate: well Joe maybe for once in your life you should have thought about someone else and how you could hurt their feelings! god your such a jerk! Joe: if i'm such a jerk then why are you dating me? Kate: because, idk. Joe: well if you don't know why your dating me then maybe we should just break up! Kate: maybe we should! Joe: fine. (walks away) Kate: fine. (storms inside) Alyssa: wow! that was bad! Kevin: yeah i'm gonna go talk to Joe. Nick: so Alyssa how have you been? Alyssa: good i guess. hows Jess? Nick: good, really good, everything is good. Kate: Alyssa, could you come inside! Alyssa: be right in! well i guess i'll see you late. Nick: yeah bye. BACK INSIDE Kate (crying): Alyssa, why did i break up with him? Alyssa: because you were angry. it was just a silly argument. you 2 will be fine in no time. Kate: idk. he was pretty mad. Alyssa: yeah, but that's guys for you. ERIN AND JESS BARGE IN THE FRONT DOOR Erin: oh Kate! we heard what happened. Kate: how it just happened 5 minutes ago? Jess: Nick called me. (Alyssa glares at Jess) Kate: yeah well i don't need him. The guys walk in the door. Kevin: hey! well you girls all go back to school tomorrow so we wanted to take you to dinner and a show. Joe: Kate can we talk? alone? Kate: no i'm done talking to you. Alyssa: Kate give him a chance to explain. (whispers) You know you want to. Kate: fine. let's go upstairs. Jess: so baby what show are we going to see? Nick: well hun it's a local dance show and we know that kate and Erin love to dance. sorry Jess majority rules. Alyssa: well i hope you guys have fun. Kevin: Alyssa, i hope your coming with, we bought you a ticket. Alyssa: really? thanks. (Jess looks disgusted with Alyssa)
